Circular Economy Christmas Calendar is here again!

December is here, and with it the much-anticipated circular economy in agriculture Christmas calendar has returned. Each day brings tips and examples of how to promote the circular economy on farms in practice. The aim of the calendar is to make the circular economy visible and to give farms recognition for the important work they do.

Christmas calendar 2024 is published daily in social media

Every day, we’ll take a peek into the circular economy – showcasing innovative solutions, highlighting circular practices conducted on farms and sharing useful tips that can be applied by everyone in their own businesses.

In the calendar, you can find out more about:

  • how to make use of side streams,
  • recycling of plastics,
  • promoting soil health,
  • and the latest digital platforms such as KiertoaSuomesta.fi and the soon-to-be-launched eMuovi tool.

The calendar is also a celebration of farms and entrepreneurs – the postings offer the opportunity to learn directly from those who are driving the circular economy forward in practice.

Day 2 of the Christmas Calendar features Aki Laaksonen and a circular economy tip: Side streams provide nutrients and organic matter to the soil.

This year, there is also a draw, which was revealed in the first day of the calendar! Join the discussion on the KiertoaSuomesta.fi marketplace on Facebook or Instagram and tell us what kind of circular economy solutions you have implemented on your farm. The competition will run until 8.12., and the winner will be entered into a draw for a No farmers, No food beanie.

You can follow the calendar on the KiertoaSuomesta.fi marketplace’s Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn accounts, welcome to join us!

The calendar is a collaboration between MTK’s TREASoURcE project and MTK-Satakunta’s Muutosvoimaa tulevaan project.
