1. General information
Welcome to the KiertoaSuomesta.fi digital marketplace (the ”Service”), provided by the Federation of Finnish Agricultural Producers (”MTK”).
These Terms of Use apply between you (”User”) and MTK in connection with the Service. By using the Service, the User acknowledges that he/she has read and accepted these Terms of Use and agrees to be bound by them when using the Service. If the User does not accept these Terms of Use, the User must discontinue using the Service.
2. Description of the service
The service is a digital marketplace that offers the possibility to buy and sell various products and services related to agricultural by-products.
MTK strives to provide the User with a high quality user experience, but does not guarantee the accuracy, correctness or continuous availability of the Service. The content of the Service is provided ”as is” and ”as available” without any obligation.
The service works best with the latest versions of the browsers listed below:
- Google Chrome and Safari on your smartphone and tablet
- on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge.
MTK shall have the right to make changes to the Service, its features, content and availability without notice and with prior notice to change the free parts of the Service into paid parts or to discontinue maintaining and providing the Service in part or in full. MTK shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the User as a result of any modification or discontinuance of the Service.
3. Rights of the Service
The content of the Service is protected by copyright law and international treaties. Intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks, relating to the Service belong to MTK or other right holders. You may not use, copy, distribute or modify the content of the Service or any part thereof without the prior written permission of MTK. MTK reserves all rights to the content of the Service, unless otherwise stated in the Service.
4. User’s obligations and use of the Service
You agree to use the Service only in accordance with the law and good practice. You are responsible for all use of the Service, including the activities and content associated with your account. The User shall not use the Service in any manner that may cause harm, damage or disruption to the Service or other users. You may not misuse or exploit the Service for any unlawful purpose.
You use the Service at your own risk and expense. MTK shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages that the User may suffer as a result of or in connection with the use of the Service.
Service user IDs are personal. User IDs may not be unlawfully disclosed or given to others. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your usernames and passwords associated with the Service and your use of the Service.
5. User-generated content
You can create and share content on the Service. You are responsible for the content you create and you must ensure that you have all necessary rights to share and use the content on the Service. You may not post or distribute any offensive, illegal, fraudulent or otherwise inappropriate content on the Service. MTK has the right to remove or edit any User Generated Content that violates these Terms of Use or is otherwise inappropriate.
If the User submits image or video material to the Service, the User is responsible for ensuring that he/she has all necessary copyright and other rights to the material submitted. The User has therefore filmed or otherwise created the material he/she submits, or the persons who filmed or otherwise participated in the creation of the material have transferred to the User all necessary copyrights (including the right to modify and sublicense) to the material.
MTK shall be entitled to re-use the material provided by the User free of charge, regardless of the method of implementation and distribution, and to assign its rights and modify the material in good faith. The User must have the consent of all persons appearing in the image or video for MTK to use and process the material as it sees fit, including for commercial purposes. The User submitting the image or video must be able to provide such consents on request. The User also declares that he/she has not made or will not make the material available to any third party on an exclusive basis.
The User undertakes to compensate MTK or third parties for any costs and damages arising from the use of the Service contrary to this paragraph.
6. Processing of personal data

7. Limitation of liability
MTK aims to provide a high quality and reliable digital service, but does not guarantee the accuracy, availability or completeness of the Service. MTK shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising out of the use or availability of the Service. Such damages may include, but are not limited to, loss of information, loss of income or damage to reputation. These Terms of Use are without prejudice to the User’s rights under mandatory consumer protection legislation.
8. Third party services and links
The Service may contain links or references to services, products or websites provided by third parties. These third party services are not under the control of MTK and MTK is not responsible for the content, functionality or security of these services. You should read and accept the terms of use and privacy policies of such third parties before using them.
9. Other terms and conditions
MTK shall have the right to transfer the Service and its maintenance and related customer relationships within the MTK Group and to a successor to its business in the event of an acquisition or similar arrangement.
Disputes regarding these Terms of Use and use of the Service will be resolved primarily by negotiation between the parties. If negotiations do not lead to a solution, the disputes will be settled in accordance with Finnish law by the Helsinki District Court. It is also possible for the consumer to bring the dispute before the Consumer Disputes Board. Before taking the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer should contact the Consumer Advice Centre. The European Commission also offers an online dispute resolution platform specifically for consumers living in another EU country.

11. Entry into force and amendments to the Terms of Use
These Terms of Use enter into force on 30.5.2023 and are valid until further notice.
MTK has the right to change the Terms of Use by posting changes on the Service or by other similar means. Such changes shall take effect on the date indicated and shall apply to all Users. The User accepts the changes by using the Service.
